When is a team not a team?
The spirit of the team can only be created by the people within it.
People working harmoniously, cohesively and productively are fundamental to business performance.
In very simple terms a team is a group of people but a group of people are very often not functioning as a team!
Why? The simple answer is that the team is void of a spirit and without a team spirit the group will NEVER evolve as a team.
Team Building skills are an important element for developing effective, high performance teams but skill training alone won't meet these expectations.
Have you ever experienced a so called Team Building event where you came away thinking what was all that about?
Do some of these events build bridges or just create more barriers? If highly competitive activity is involved how do the losers 'really' feel?
At Pivotal we have a system that energises, inspires and bonds people with lasting affect.
Our delegates arrive as a small group and leave us as a team with a spirit. Consequently they will feel motivated and committed to working in harmony to achieve their aims and objectives.
How do we achieve this?
Through a structured programme which embraces the extreme power of music as the catalyst for creating the team spirit.
Participants will work together throughout the three days to write, play and record THEIR composition onto a CD, which will also be available to listen to on our website.
Musical experience is not necessary and people are amazed what lies within in terms of their creativity and musical talent - our system merely draws it out of them and puts it to good use.
Think about the power of music over recent years in terms of uniting countries, bringing tens of thousands of people together where there is neither violence nor conflict because the music has created a spirit and engendered mutual respect
Whilst music is the core to our programme, delegates will spend ample time to understand how teams positively evolve and what the benefits are to both the individuals and their work environment.
They will be professionally facilitated to identify their specific issues and challenges and over the three days together will create a team strategy to be implemented on their return to the work place.
By the end of the programme delegates will:
- Understand the full implications of failing to operate as team and be committed to the benefits of change for improvement.
- Understand what needs to be done to achieve this specifically for their team and have a workable plan to achieve this.
- Have experienced the power of working together and achieved something they would never have thought was achievable.
- Have bonded and found greater respect for each other.
- Leave with tangible evidence of their endeavours in the form of their music CD.
- Return to work with a team spirit and energised to take on new challenges.

a truly inspirational setting for a once in a life time experience and an opportunity not to be missed.
There are other residential studios in the world but none so fine as Sarm Hook End.
